Success doesn’t happen all at once. It’s built step by step—through trial, reflection, and small, steady improvements. That’s the power of Scrum.
Scrum helps teams deliver value incrementally. Every Sprint offers a chance to learn, adapt, and move forward. Each improvement, no matter how small, adds up over time—refining processes, strengthening teams, and transforming outcomes. That’s why the theme of this year’s Scrum Day Madison is Small Steps to Big Value.
This year’s keynote speakers bring that theme to life in powerful ways.
Our morning keynote features Chad Beier and Jeff Bubolz, who will speak on Improvement to the Nth Power: How Small Changes Create Exponential Impact. Their session dives into how small, intentional shifts—through curiosity, habit stacking, measurement, and culture—can lead to transformational growth. Discover how a 1% improvement, repeated over time, creates a ripple effect of lasting change.
We’re honored to welcome Dr. Alistair Cockburn, co-author of the Agile Manifesto, who will present Returning to the Heart of Agile: Collaborate, Deliver, Reflect, Improve. Dr. Cockburn argues that Agile has become overly complicated—so much so that it’s lost its usefulness. In this keynote, he distills Agile down to its core: four words that guide real effectiveness. And in the spirit of collaboration, he’ll spend most of the session answering your questions on the topics that matter most right now.
We’re also excited to feature talks from organizations putting incremental delivery into action. Axiom will share how they are building the space station one step at a time—using roadmaps to align teams around value. Additional speakers include professionals from U.S. Cellular, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, WPS Health Insurance, Google, Promega, UW Credit Union, and more.
Whether you’re just starting out or deep into your Agile journey, Scrum Day Madison offers inspiration and practical takeaways you can apply right away. It’s fun, it’s insightful, and it’s a chance to connect with others who believe in the power of small steps to create big change.
Don’t miss out—come see how small improvements can lead to lasting success.
