Hear from Scrum Day host Mary Iqbal (Rebel Scrum) on why the theme for this year's Scrum Day conference is Small Steps to Big Value.
Each year, the State of Agile Report (www.stateofagile.com) asks organizations why they are using Agile. For many years, the number one answer was about accelerating delivery—whether product delivery or value delivery. But in the 2024 report, something shifted. For the first time, the top reason cited was: “Prioritize, deliver, and measure incremental customer and business value.”
That shift is what inspired this year’s Scrum Day Madison theme: Small Steps to Big Value.
To us, this theme brings together two essential ideas. First, that Agile is about incremental delivery and continuous improvement—taking small steps that move us forward. Second, that the reason we do this isn’t just to keep teams busy, but to maximize value for customers and the business. It’s about making sure the work we deliver matters.
