Siva Balu is a seasoned executive in business, digital technology, and healthcare. During this extensive experience, Siva led various transformational strategic initiatives including the founding of various high growth businesses based in healthcare, technology, products, platforms, AI, and data.

Siva is currently the Chief Information & Digital Officer, Senior Vice President at Quartz Health Solutions where he spearheads innovative ways to empower members and communities to create a life well-lived. In his role, Siva is responsible for AI, Digital, Technology, Data, Analytics, Insights, Information Security, Technical Product Development, Customer Experience and enterprise leadership.

Previously, Siva led digital technology as the Global CIO for UnitedHealth Group that included M&As, Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Specialty and Individual products. Siva led the advancement of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Vendor Management, Platforms, and end-to-end Technologies.

Prior to that Siva led the Digital Transformation as the Global CIO & CISO for YMCA OF THE USA building the Y Cloud platform to offer products and services for the global YMCAs, launching universal mobile apps, virtual content, virtual health, CRM, big data analytics and business intelligence.

Siva spent over 20 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield, enabling over 110 million members, 1 in 3 Americans, to receive high quality healthcare. At the Blues, Siva founded and built successful platform businesses to enhance consumer experience, reduce operational cost, tackle social determinants of health and more. He also led transformation strategies including agile, cloud, big data, blockchain and AI/ML.

Siva is a renowned international keynote speaker at industry conferences and events. Siva is on the board of directors of various non-profits and recently was the volunteer Board Chair for the YMCA. Siva is a mentor to various aspiring professionals, diversity leaders, start-ups and venture funds.

During his free time, Siva likes to run long distance ultra-marathons, write, read, cook and watch Formula 1 events.
