What to Know for Scrum Day Madison

Scrum Day Madison is almost here! Join us Thursday, October 15, for an exciting day exploring Agility in the Age of AI, connecting with fellow Agile professionals, and enjoying some great food along the way!

8:00 AM – Check In, Enjoy Breakfast & Network!

Madison Marriott West

1313 John Q. Hammons Drive

Middleton, WI 53562

Please enter through the Conference Center entrance on the right-hand side of the building.

Once inside, you'll find the check-in area immediately on your right. You do not need to bring your ticket or show a confirmation email. Simply provide your name at check-in, and we'll give you your conference badge.

After checking in, follow the hallway around to your right, all the way back to the Michigan Room, where breakfast and coffee will be waiting.

Breakfast includes:

  • Freshly brewed coffee, tea, and fruit juices

  • Assorted muffins, Danishes, and breakfast breads

  • Bagels with cream cheese

  • Seasonal sliced fruit and flavored yogurts

Doors open at 8 AM, so come early and network! One of the best things about attending a conference is meeting new people. Grab some coffee, introduce yourself, and start making connections!

Download the Whova App Before You Arrive

This year, we're using Whova to help you make the most of Scrum Day Madison. You can use the app to view the conference schedule, plan which sessions you'd like to attend, find breakout rooms, locate sponsors and exhibitors, and connect with other attendees.

8:30 AM – Let the Learning Begin!

We'll kick things off with our welcome session, followed by our opening keynote at 8:45 AM: "Embracing the 'New Meta' of AI with an Agile Gamer Mindset," featuring Chris Diller and Dan Bliss.

After our opening sessions, we'll move into breakout sessions where you can choose the topics that interest you most. With sessions focused on Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Agile leadership, and innovation, there's something for everyone!

9:45 AM – Build Your Own Yogurt Parfait!

Time for our first delicious break!

Enjoy a build-your-own parfait station featuring low-fat flavored yogurts, crunchy granola, dried fruits, assorted nuts, and whole fruit.

Grab a parfait, meet someone new, and then head back for more learning!

12:00 PM – Lunch Together!

We'll gather again in the Michigan Room for a hearty lunch buffet featuring:

  • Tender pot roast

  • Grilled chicken with herb jus

  • Garlic mashed potatoes

  • Baby carrots and sautéed seasonal vegetables

  • Garden salad with ranch or raspberry vinaigrette

  • Apple slaw with poppy seed dressing

  • Fresh rolls and butter

  • Caramel apple pie and turtle cheesecake!

  • Freshly brewed iced tea

Enjoy lunch with fellow attendees, share what you've learned, and make a few new friends before our afternoon breakout sessions.

2:40 PM – Nachos, Cookies & Brownies!

Who says conferences can't have amazing snacks?

Our afternoon break features a loaded nacho bar with crispy tortilla chips, warm queso, seasoned ground beef, fresh salsa, jalapeños, olives, and diced onions.

And for something sweet, enjoy gourmet cookies and chocolate brownies!

Grab a snack, catch up with your new connections, and get ready for our final sessions.

Closing Session – Bringing It All Together!

We'll wrap up the day by coming back together to reflect on what we've learned, celebrate our Agile community, and draw winners for our networking games!

Be sure to stay for the prize drawings!

Two Games to Make Networking Even More Fun!

1) Sponsor Scavenger Hunt

Visit our sponsor tables and match each company's logo sticker to a fun fact about their organization. It's a great way to meet our sponsors, ask questions, and discover something new!

2)The Six Degrees of Sagar

Inspired by Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, this game celebrates how connected our Agile community really is!

Write down the names of people you meet, compare cards with others, and discover how your new connections might lead back to Sagar Awate.

The more people you meet, the more connected we all become. After all, somehow, all roads lead back to Sagar!

Return your game cards to the check-in desk before 4:00 PM to be entered into the drawing. You must be present when the winning tickets are drawn to win!

Make the Most of Scrum Day!

Bring your business cards, update your LinkedIn profile, and come ready to connect! Ask thoughtful questions, listen to others, and focus on building genuine relationships rather than simply exchanging contact information.

And don't forget to follow up with your new connections after the event!

We can't wait to see you Thursday! Come hungry, curious, and ready to connect!
