Eric is an energetic product leader with over a decade of hands on experience leading large-scale innovation-focused product teams within highly regulated financial services and healthcare companies. He gets energized when he can combine leading-edge cloud technology with modern product management and human-centered design tactics to create products customers love that drive organic revenue growth.

 

Previously, Eric was Global Head for Delivery Enablement, Innovation Advisory at Amazon AWS. In this role, he is building a community of product management and technology consultants that help other companies drive significant business outcomes by adopting Amazon’s secret sauce for building new products and businesses. He also supports customers to transform their organizations into customer-centric, product-driven enterprises.

 

Before Amazon, Eric was a Director of Product at American Family Insurance and brought Steve Blank’s LaunchPad program to the University of Wisconsin System, running the first three cohorts with graduate students and faculty to improve commercialization efforts of research. He also is a failed radiology image recognition startup co-founder. Lesson learned, if you’re too early to market, you’re still wrong J. And in what feels like a long time ago, Eric’s first career was as a professional soccer player and college soccer coach.

 

When not working, Eric enjoys coaching his daughter and son’s soccer teams, fly fishing the spring fed creeks of the driftless region of the United States, and cooking his wife a “fancy” dinner.
